We (Friends of the African Union (FAU), Friends of the African Union Opportunity Development Group, FAU United States of America Bureau, the African Diaspora Directorate and the in-formation FAU Smart Wise Global Group of Ohio) share a common vision for the American Dream by ensuring that government programs are serving the American people in an equitable and just manner and supporting communities that have been locked out of opportunity. We understand that the United States immigration system is based on the Nationality Act of 1965 and the Immigration Act of 1990 (INA). We believe in smart solutions to secure the US border, keep communities safe, and reform our broken immigration system.
For the readers information on June 28, 2024, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas announced the extension and redesignation of Haiti for Temporary Protected Status for 18 months, from Aug. 4, 2024, through Feb. 3, 2026. After consultation with interagency partners, Secretary Mayorkas determined on June 3, 2024, that an 18-month extension and redesignation of Haiti for TPS is warranted because conditions that support Haitiâs designation are ongoing and that doing so was not contrary to the national interest of the United States. Several regions in Haiti continue to face violence or insecurity, and many have limited access to safety, health care, food, and water. Haiti is particularly prone to flooding and mudslides, and often experiences significant damage due to storms, flooding, and earthquakes. These overlapping humanitarian challenges have resulted in ongoing urgent humanitarian needs. For your information we have been focused and working on these issues since 2023.
âWe are providing this humanitarian relief to Haitians already present in the United States given the conditions that existed in their home country as of June 3, 2024,â said Secretary Mayorkas. âIn doing so, we are realizing the core objective of the TPS law and our obligation to fulfill it.â
âTheyâre eating the dogs, the people that came in, theyâre eating the cats,â Ex President
Donald Trump, the Republican party candidate for the Presidency of the United States of
America (USA) in 2024 said during an answer related to immigration during a debate on
September 10th 2024. âTheyâre eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is
whatâs happening in our country, and itâs a shame.â
This racist myth about Haitians sits within a legacy of vile slander faced by Haitians in the West, ever since Haitians liberated themselves in the 18th century from the yoke of French colonialism and slavery in the worldâs most renowned successful revolt by enslaved people. The Haitian revolution (1791â1804) came to North American shores in the form of a refugee crisis. In 1793, competing factions battled for control of the then-capital of St. Domingue, Cap-Français (now Cap-HaĂŻtien.) The fighting and ensuing fire destroyed much of the capital, and refugees piled into ships anchored in the harbor. The French navy deposited the refugees in Norfolk, Virginia.
Many refugees also settled in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York. These refugees were predominantly white, though many had brought their slaves with them. The refugees became involved in émigré politics, hoping to influence U.S. foreign policy. Anxieties about their actions, along with those of European radicals also residing in the United States, led in 1798 to the Alien and Sedition Acts, which were controversial like the issue of immigration is today.
For the reader’s information Haiti declared its independence from France on January 1st, 1804 and this Haitian Revolution created the second independent country in the Americas after the United States became independent in 1783.
The then U.S. political leaders, many of them slaveowners, reacted to the emergence of Haiti as a state borne out of a slave revolt with ambivalence, at times providing aid to put down the revolt. It took till 1852 for the USA to recognize the independent Republic of Haiti.
On September 11th 2024 online and focused on Springfield Ohio the Friends of the African Union (FAU), Friends of the African Union Opportunity Development Group (FAU ODG), FAU Smart Wise Global Group of Ohio, FAU United States of America Bureau, the African Diaspora Directorate and the Buckeye Black Chamber of Commerce have agreed to bring the full work of the #BlackFolksPlan and its supporters and affiliates to bear in a national emergency situation around immigration and the standing of the United States of America in the world.
We are now proposing to expand our FAU ODG services along with Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. (NEON) to Springfield Ohio. The FAU ODG service mix with NEON will leverage our joint experience to meet the strain on Springfieldâs economic, medical and educational systems with the influx of legal immigrants from Haiti.
In a Tuesday (9/10/24) news conference, Ohio Republican Gov. Mike DeWine acknowledged Springfield Ohio had recently received an âunprecedentedâ surge of around 15,000 Haitian immigrants, legally, bringing a strain on healthcare providers, translators and rental availability. We are determined to lead a global coalition to accelerate investments toward clean and resilient economies and supply chains and to provide a better future for our people through 1,000 People driven Public Private Partnerships (P4âs). A FAU People divine Public Private Partnership is a contractual relationship between the public and private sector for the people.
We agree that P4 investments are critical for the United States and other advanced economies in a global partnership with Developing Countries like Haiti, and it is equally critical for countries around the world to succeed in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, bringing benefits to the entire world. To do that we have created the Global Compact for Democracy for a #JustEconomy. We will start in Springfield Ohio this Saturday to create the 1st of these partners.
We start this work knowing the need a new global Financing for Development framework for the many countries that are facing difficult choices between paying back creditors and making critical investments in their economy and peopleâlike vaccinating children, building more resilient and sustainable food systems, and addressing the damaging effects of climate change all the while facing increased global immigration. We are calling for bold action from the international community starting with Haiti and centered around Springfield Ohio.
Friends of the African Union (FAU), Friends of the African Union Opportunity Development Group, FAU Smart Wise Global Group of Ohio, FAU United States of America Bureau, the African Diaspora Directorate and members of the National Alliance for Black Business including the Buckeye Black Chamber of Commerce and the National Community Reinvestment Coalition will organize the submission on October 7th 2024 of a written submission on the Principles, Provisions and Pathways to Reparatory Justice for Africans and People of African Descent to the United Nations Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent. This work done at the United Nations Summit of the Future, September 22nd and 23rd 2024, will, for the 4th session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on People of African Descent (April 14th – 17th, 2025) give the framework details around implementation of the Black Folks Plan for Reparatory Justice through the Global Compact for Democracy with a #JustEconomy powered by C7ISR3.
The proposed Global Compact for Democracy with a #JustEconomy (2025-2100) will use the in-development C7ISR3 platform. Starting in Ohio in 2024 the development team of C7ISR3 will build on 6G technology in the creation of the seventh generation of wireless communication systems as a 21st century visionary leap in communications. Working with strategic partners FAU has imagined to operate at unprecedented speeds in wireless systems that could exceed 11Gbs to terabits per second, marking a substantial escalation from the gigabit speeds of its predecessors. This remarkable acceleration in data transfer is projected to reduce latency, revolutionize internet capabilities, and power a new wave of technological innovations like holographic communications and sophisticated Internet-of-Things (IoT) ecosystems.
From Springfield Ohio, we plan for C7ISR3 to work with strategic partners such as Intel, Microsoft and Zotec Global, around the 600m people of The African Union who do not have access to electricity in 2024 and the billion other people of the United Nations Permanent Forum on People of African Descent who have access to 4th generation wireless technology. By 2040 we will have installed an integrated global wireless and satellite network based on C7ISR3.
C7ISR3 is to be a fork of USPTO 5,577,042 and other patents and software that embeds ISO26000:2010 and a superset of the United Nations Universal Periodic Review Process called the DanielsIDIQ as the basis for FAUâs P4âs. C7ISR3 is a Communication, Computing, Connectivity, Control, Command, Countermeasures, eCommerce electronic solution with International market Information and Intelligence infrastructure that is Systemwide branded Ultra Secure and Safe as a GLINC enabled platform that has state of the art biometric Recognition and artificial intelligence situational Response technology built in that is also to be embedded in a solution for Real time solutions that can be tokenized in digital event contracts in a FAU P4.
The Global Compact for Democracy with a #JustEconomy as a Global solution will be promoted as the basis of financing civil society aspirations in the United States of America as implemented around Executive Order 14089, the UN System through Financing for Development and African Union Agenda 2063 as expressed in the FAU CETS Technologies Global Implementation Plan. The FAU CETS Technologies Global Implementation Plan is a comprehensive strategy aimed at addressing global carbon emissions reduction and guiding industries towards achieving net zero sustainability in a 21st century circular economy. This plan is a part of the broader initiative within the Friends of the African Union to promote sustainability and economic empowerment, particularly for BIPOCA (a Black Folk based P4 partnership with Indigenous Peoples with allied People of Color and White Folk) ALLIANCE communities.
As a global BIPOCA ALLIANCE movement it will build on not only the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public Law 117â2); the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Public Law 117-58); division A of Public Law 117-167, known as the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act of 2022; Public Law 117-169, commonly referred to as the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022; and the Safer Communities Act (Public Law 117-159) as well as executive action by the Biden Harris Administration which has been game changing whole of government (at the Federal Government) in racial equity and advancement of equal opportunity solutions for underserved communities through Executive Order 13985.
Using the work in my first book, âThe Black Folks Planâ, we will implement it, from Springfield Ohio, across the county, the state and nation as well as spread the work through college campuses with a focus on USA Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We will engage government departments and agencies around their work in assessing how their policies and programs perpetuate barriers for underserved communities and implement strategies for the people in removing those barriers that they can see working. We declared this 2024 work in the United States in Springfield Ohio on September 11th as a result of work done at the 124th National Black Business Conference and 40th Anniversary of the World Conference of Mayors.
