Welcome to the Black Folks Plan

The Black Folks Plan is a visionary initiative that traces its roots back to 2012, spearheaded by Friends of the African Union. This bold plan tells the story of a $6 trillion endeavor aimed at uplifting communities of African descent by leveraging economic liberalism and empowering market economies rooted in individualism and private ownership. Since its inception, The Black Folks Plan has evolved, impacting lives across the globe and continuing to drive progress into the second quarter of 2022.

Our Initiatives

The Black Folks Plan

A comprehensive economic strategy developed to uplift African American communities through targeted investments in education, healthcare, housing, and economic development. By leveraging over $300 billion in current Federal Reserve Bank-based Community Benefit Agreements, the Plan seeks to create sustainable, long-term growth for communities historically marginalized by systemic inequalities

Compact for Democracy

The Global Compact for Democracy with a Just Economy is an international framework initiated by FAU to address the lasting impacts of the global African slave trade and colonialism. This initiative promotes equitable public and private investments in African American and global African Diaspora communities, with the goal of creating sustainable economic growth and social equity.
